For our first night, we stayed in this classic, spacious wooden lodge featuring panoramic views of Chiang Dao Mountain right from the accommodation.

• Amenities: 2 private bathrooms, cozy beds, a signature red sofa on the balcony for taking in the fresh mountain breeze, air conditioning, a fan, and complimentary drinking water.
• Rates:
  • 3,500 THB / night (Breakfast included)

🍃 Room H3 — Cozy & Inviting (2–3 Guests)

This room is tastefully decorated to offer a warm, comforting vibe from the moment you step inside.

 
 

• Amenities: 1 large king-size bed, 1 single bed, air conditioning, and a private vanity and shower area.
• Highlight: Step right outside to relax by the stream! Sipping hot tea, reading a good book, and listening to the soothing sounds of birds and flowing water was the ultimate way to recharge our batteries.

After breakfast, before heading out to explore the cafes, we took a peaceful detour to pay our respects and make merit at Wat Mae Eed, a beautifully serene local temple in Chiang Dao.

 
 

• Paying homage to the impressive, grand Buddha statue and taking in the tranquil, spiritual atmosphere surrounding the temple grounds. It was a refreshing stop that brought a sense of peace and positive energy to our day before continuing our journey.

 
 

☕ Chai Cafe Chiang Dao (Muang Khong)

Next, we made our way to Chai Cafe, a charming garden cafe and eatery surrounded by majestic greenery that gives you an authentic mountain getaway feel.

What makes this place special is that they grow their own Arabica and Robusta coffee plants and operate a small, dedicated micro-roastery on-site. You can truly taste the quality and passion in every cup!

 

• ☕ Hot Latte: Beautifully crafted with latte art and a rich, smooth aroma.

   
 

• 🧊 Iced Americano: Bold, crisp, and refreshing—a dream for black coffee lovers.

   
 

• 🍳 Homemade Food (No MSG!): We tried the Pork Pad Thai and Pork Holy Basil Rice (Pad Kra Pao), both perfectly seasoned. We finished with their delicious French-style pancakes served with honey. The portions are generous, healthier, and very reasonably priced!

 
 
 

🐷 Delicious Waterside Dinners (1–2 Days Advance Booking Required)

 

In the evening, return to Laharn House for a cozy dinner right by the stream.

• Thai BBQ (Moo Krata) / Shabu Hotpot Set: 599 THB / set (Ideal for 2–3 guests).

Enjoying spicy, flavorful Thai BBQ outdoors on a cool evening—followed by a rich, aromatic herbal hotpot the next night—made for two truly unforgettable, soul-soothing dinners.
