Get away from the bustle of Bangkok to a relaxing destination nestled in Khaokho Petchabun located in northern Thailand.
The lovely province is surrounded by beautiful mountains and filled with greenery, perfect for a dose of relaxation. The province has nice weather all year even though it can get hot the mountain winds and breezy fog cool things down!
A 5-6 hour drive from Bangkok will see you enjoying the amazing views of this and mountain paradise.

We stayed at "Rakkhao Resort" which means (I love the mountains) The room we stayed in is located was 1,300 THB, prices depends on the booking date so please check their website.

Our Bedroom was comfy had a balcony. You can sit and relax while taking in the mountain view.

We drove to the most famous temple in Khao kho, Petchabun. "Wat Phra That Pha Son Kaew" a mountain top Buddhist monastery and temple covered in colorful mosaic tiles and surrounded nature. This is a beautiful temple and a must-visit. Stop by to make merit when you visit Khao Kho.

After we finished at "Wat Phra That Pha Son Kaew" we decided to sample the food behind the temple.

Pizza Uncle Tom and Phadthai Petchburi.
These restaurants had an amazing view and the pepperoni pizza (350 THB) was a yummy snack.

The "Phad Thai Goong" (150 THB) is also great!

Before we headed back to resort we decided to go to a cafe called "Ricco Slow Bar" located in "Phumork Villages Khao Kho".

The cafe has many kinds of coffee beans and homemade desserts. We love Khaokho drip coffee so much! It has a chocolate aroma and a rich, smooth taste. Ricco Slow Bar has a very beautiful view surrounding by a peaceful garden full of green life! For dessert, the coconut penna cotta with water chestnut is so tasty it's a must-try!

 

We went back to the resort at around 4.00 PM for dinner. We recommend the Thai barbecue set. 599 THB per set including 2 kinds of pork (Pork loin, Bacon, and Fish with vegetable mushroom and glass noodles) the sauce is so delicious and goes perfectly with the yummy pork!

The pork is tender and juicy, the fish is also super good. We really enjoyed our barbecue while taking in the beautiful weather and view!

For Breakfast Rak Khao resort serves a big bowl of Chicken ball topped with omelet and boiled rice. The soup is so yummy, perfect for an early morning repast.

Rakkhao Khao Kho, Phetchabun is a place we recommend for those who love adventure and nature atmosphere.
