The Grand Four Wings Convention Hotel - A Wonderful Discovery in Eastern Bangkok
While we typically focus our reviews on Thai restaurants and bars the Thaifoodies.co team will never pass up an opportinuty to share a pleasent experience at any Thai venue with our readers. This past weekend one of the team attended a wedding at The Grand Four Wings Convention Hotel in Srinakarin located in the Eastern part of Bangkok about 20 minutes drive from Suvarnabhumi International Airport.
The Grand Four Wings Convention Hotel is huge as one would expect from a convention hotel, but it is also beautifully decorated, staffed by typically warm and service minded Thais, and a great value if you don't need to stay in downtown Bangkok.
Our overnight stay was in a corner room, a Grand Deluxe, on the 22nd floor. The room was extremely spacious, well equipped and quiet. The design is clean and as this is a fairly new hotel, less than 5 years old, everything is immaculate.
The bathroom was large, stocked with essentials and includes a full size shower and tub.
The bed was large and comfortable and the room featured a nice desk and chair as well as an additional easy chair with footrest.
As the purpose of the visit was to attend a wedding we didn't have time for a review of the restaurants, only a sampling of room service, which was very nice indeed!
We did get to take a quick tour of the restaurants. The Grand Four Wings Convention Hotel has 8 very attractive venues to satisfy anyone's epicurean demands!
The Grand Lounge is a buffet style restaurant serving Thai and International cuisine all day.
Yu He Chinese serves authentic Chinese cuisine for lunch and dinner daily
Tancho Sushi Bar serves authentic Japanese dishes for lunch and dinner
Grotto Restaurant Champagne and Wine Bar opens at 4 PM daily and feature international cuisine, an extensive wine and Champagne selection with live music
Other in-house venues for food and drink are the Terrace Bar, Biz Lounge, Pool Bar, G4W Premium Coffee House and the Grand Four Wings Bakery and of course Room Service
The Thaifoodies.co team plans to make a trip back to The Grand Four Wings Convention Hotel to properly review all the venues for you but in the meantime the hotel overall is well worth a visit.
