The Coffee Club - Awesome Aussie-style Eats in Bangkok
This was my first visit to The Coffee Club in Bangkok. Thaifoodies.co critic Babe has of course been many times and was most eager to introduce me to this hip Aussie style eatery right on Sukhumvit Road next to the Ekamai BTS station.
The Coffee Club has 7 locations in Bangkok at Thong Lor, Ekamai, Wittayu, Silom, Rajdamri, Sukhumvit 49, and Charoennakorn. and several others in Thai hots spots like Hua Hin, Pattaya, Samui and of course Phuket.
We visited on a Saturday afternoon at around 2:00 PM and the place was full. However we only needed to wait about 5 mins until a table opened up. A nice little booth near the coffee bar afforded us the wonderful aroma of fresh brewed coffee.
While The Coffee Club has a huge drink list including hot and cold coffees, teas, frappes, milk shakes, various soft drinks, IPA/local beers and wine we availed ourselves of a flat while and one tall chilled latte and then dived into the extensive menu - as always we were so HUNGRY!
Our coffees were great, bold but not burnt, very smooth and gone far too quickly!
The dishes on offer are simply beautiful to behold with a nice eastern/western feel in terms of portion, selection and taste. Hearty breakfasts, salads, sandwiches, Thai food, huge burgers, pastas, mains and some of the best looking hand-crafted desserts I've ever seen!
We went for a caesar salad, chicken club sandwich, ham and dijon mustard wrap, and a very nice poached egg with avocado.
We were stuffed and much to our dismay there was no room for dessert this trip but that's not all bad news - we will be coming back to The Coffee Club very soon to investigate this amazing menu further.
The atmosphere is super chill for such a busy place. The clientele was a good mix of local and tourists/expats. Service at The Coffee Club is super fast and friendly and the venue was spotless. Highly recommended for families as the eats on offer are sure to be a hit with your little ones.
The Coffee Club is a MUST if you like great coffee and western style breakfast. Yummy!
