Drunken Leprechaun Sukhumvit Soi 15 - A Charming Irish Pub in Busy Bangkok
The Thaifoodies team recently visited The Drunken Leprechaun located on the ground floor of the Four Points Sheraton in Sukhumvit soi 15. A short, and easy stroll from either Asoke BTS or Nana BTS stations.
Bangkok is full of all different types of bars, clubs, and restaurants but of proper Irish Pubs there are only a handful. The Drunken Leprechaun ticks all the right boxes in our view of a traditional pub. Wood paneled walls, high tables, perfect for a good lean, jumbled together with proper sit down tops make up the cozy main pub room but fear not there’s plenty of room in the back for big groups.
Now, in addition to your favorite potables The Drunken Leprechaun offers up a large menu of both authentic Irish goodies and also Thai favorites as well. We’ll talk more about the food later. We really like the relaxed vide at the Leprechaun – during the afternoon it’s a great place to hang out and chill but in the evenings things heat up with live music, pub quiz nights, and live sports on the weekends. They also feature a free snack buffet from & PM to 10PM. We noshed on some of the Thai and Irish goodies and can vouch for the quality and taste – yummy eats!
We stopped by on a Monday Pub Quiz night. To play, the participation fee is only 100 Baht per person. You can win free drinks and even a cash prize. On the night we visited the winning team took home 2,000 Baht! Be warned though, some of the questions are easy but there are quite a few brain teasers too! It’s good fun all around and surprisingly competitive! Don’t miss it.
After a couple cold pints we started to sample the pub grub – We love pub food!
