AWESOME ROOFTOP BAR IN BANGKOK - ZOOM ROOFTOP SKY BAR @ ANANTARA SATHORN BANGKOK HOTEL
The Thaifoodies team recently made another visit to Zoom Sky Bar and restaurant at the Anantara Sathorn Bangkok Hotel (we really love this place!) to take in the sunning vistas, sample a few signature cocktails and yummy gastronomic creations.

We chose a lovely evening to visit the 40th floor of the Anantara Sathorn Bangkok Hotel. The weather was on the cool side for Bangkok and we arrived just in time to watch the sun start its descent against the backdrop of the Bangkok skyline.
If you haven't had the opportunity to visit Zoom Sky Bar and Restaurant then you are in for a real treat. The layout of this rooftop gem is uncluttered and allows you and your party enough privacy to enjoy an intimate conversation while at the same time enjoying the beats of the local DJ. The vibe is very chill and decidedly upscale as are the drinks and the cuisine.

We started our evening with a few signature cocktails - Babe tried the Senorita, Ian went for the Mango Tales (A must TRY for Mango lovers) and I went for Bourbon Negroni. Wonderful all around!
As this was our second visit to Zoom Sky Bar and Restaurant we were expecting great cuisine but the creative masters in the kitchen once again took us by surprise with a host of creative dishes that impressed us all!
We started with a Spicy Shrimp Salad that was served in a filo cone and topped with Cod Fish Roe. A creative presentation indeed but it was the fresh, spicy prawn that impressed the most. This is a must try for those who love the flavors of Thailand.
A more traditional Thai dish was next in Larb Moo a slightly spicy and sweet Thai salad made with tender pork, onions and Thai herbs. A light and tasty salad perfect to kick off your meal.
A first for our party was served up next, titled Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs! Lightly braised cherry tomatoes accompanied by a creamy Burrata cheese topped with a thin Parmesan wafer and served with tomato gel and balsamic vinegar and olive oil gel. This is a complex dish that wonderfully balances the sweet cherry tomatoes with the intricate flavors of the Burrata and Parmesan.
A superfood dish was out next a stunning Salmon and Quinoa served with avocado, beetroot, and lemon. The Salmon despite having the appearance of being raw is in fact cooked and oh so tasty! A beautiful dish to behold and very good for you as well. A Must Try!
Our last entree of the evening was a lovely piece of Pampano fish served with an organic broad bean pea puree, a delicate pineapple sauce topped with a Vanilla foam. The fish was prepared perfectly, light and flaky and oh so good. The broad beans, and pineapple sauce do not overpower the wonderful flavor of the fsh fish but instead enhance it. Simply Delicious!
Our dessert, not to be outdone by the incredible entrees was astounding in both presentation and flavor - FIRE! - a medley of strawberry, raspberry, and Rhubarb. Ice cream, crumble, wafer, and berry gel on a single plate but none loose the individual flavor. A memorable dessert and a first for Thaifoodies - A MUST TRY
