Sublime Riverside Dining at Riva Surya Boutique Hotel Bangkok
Thaifoodies return to old Bangkok to chill by the riverside at Riva Surya and review the contemporary Thai cuisine at Babble and Rum. Babble and Rum features indoor and outdoor seating – we went for a table right at the end of their spacious outdoor deck to take in the sights and sounds of the river and enjoy the sunset.

We started our evening with a couple signature cocktails while watching the river flow slowly past.
Tom Yum Martini (250 baht) - Vodka, triple sec, sweet and sour chili and lemongrass
Riva Finale (250 baht) - Choya umeshu, sakura syrup, lemon, mint and topped up with sprite
Rivajito (250 baht) - Mekhong, sweet and sour, mint leaf, brown sugar, lime wedge and topped up with soda
As the sun began to set we started to sample the contemporary Thai and international cuisine at Babble and Rum.
We sampled a variety of dishes from the well designed menu - Spinach and Cheese Quesadillas, Saeng Wa Goong, hearty Lentil Soup, Soft Shell Crab & Mango Salad, Duck Confit, Thai Tea Creme Brulee.
While all our dishes were yummy we highly recommend the Seang Wa Goong, Soft Shell Crab & Mango Salad and the amazing Duck Confit.
