We stayed in a Corner Suite, a beautifully decorated room with full facilities. An amazing massive bedroom with a separate living room including 2 televisions, a working desk.
The bedroom has a stunning Bangkok city view, King size bed, dressing table and a couch with a wardrobe including a safety box, slippers, and bathrobes. The big bathroom has a separate shower room and bathtub with a range of luxurious toiletries.
As a welcome, the hotel served us a yummy cute welcome dessert set and fruits which included green apples, mixed chocolates, and macaroons.
In house guests, Free still water and a bucket of ice cubes are always available upon request!
For lunch, we recommended you to try buffet dim sum at Summer Palace.
“Summer Palace” Cantonese restaurant in Bangkok located on M Floor, InterContinental Bangkok. On weekdays and weekends, they serve an all-you-can-eat dim sum offer, serving over 40 dishes! The dim sum and a la carte menu all were made to order and simply scrumptious.
We sampled:
Siu Mai, steamed prawn dumpling with shrimp roll
Pan-fried bean curd roll with shrimp
Steamed Roasted bbq pork bun
Barbecue pork with honey
For the soup menu we try, sweet corn soup with chicken and Braise shredded abalone with fish maw soup
I love Abalone with fish maw, Stir-fried Hong Kong egg noodles with Barbecue pork, Radish cake stir fry with X.O. sauce.
For dessert, we had chilled almond curd with fruits, Double boil ginkgo nut in hot syrup
The service at Summer Palace, is excellent! Always there when you need more tasty eats!

After we had lunch we walked around the hotel. We checked out the huge and uber-clean fitness center, the chillaxing Rooftop Swimming pool surrounded by the trees, and a stunning view of Bangkok.
Corner suite rooms include a Club benefit; all-day premium coffee, tea, juices, High tea & snacks at Balcony lounge on lobby floor from 14.30 – 16.30 pm.
You also can enjoy Happy hours with canapés and cocktails from 17.30 – 19.30 pm. The Afternoon tea is divine including many choices of dessert and canapés! For Happy Hour we loved the evening cocktails, try the “Negroni & Old fashioned” Red wine also quality! Shiraz Cabernet from Penfolds.
The Balcony lounge staff are charming and always provide unique Thai-style service.
After we had a great happy hour time at Balcony lounge, We reserved a table at one of my favorite restaurants, the Fireplace Grill and Bar, a classy contemporary European steakhouse since established in 1966 and rated in the Top 20 in Thailand’s Best Restaurants 2020. Michelin Guide also recommended Fireplace Grill and Bar for the third successive year in its 2020 edition. The restaurant is located on the ground level of the hotel.
The à la carte menu features premium grades of steak from Australia and Japan, lobster from Maine, Japanese sea bass from Tokyo. High-quality wines from well-known producers are displayed on the international wine list.
The delectable food at Fireplace Grill and bar was incredible; every dish is distinctive and memorable.
Start with Amuse Bouche (Chef’s Complimentary dish; the dish changes daily)
We enjoyed the Chef's creation a “24 hours slow-cooked short ribs with red wine sauce and mashed potato.” Succulent!
Our 2 dishes of appetizers we order escargot serve along with potato puree garlic butter sauce 950++ thb
and another dish we go with pan-roasted foie gras serve with rocket salad and raspberry reduction 950++ thb
We tried the Maine Lobster bisque soup 480++thb and Mushroom soup 420++ thb
Our main dishes North Atlantic Lobsters (Maine USA.) 2,100++ thb The Lobster is sweet by itself it’s totally divine.
Toyosu Market sea bass (Tokyo Japan) 1,600 ++ thb
both for the Sea grill selection, we love the Lemon butter and Garlic butter sauce perfection to eat with Sea bass & Lobster!
Another amazing dish you’ve shouldn’t miss is BEEF; imported beef from Queensland Australia.
“Stockyard Beef Tenderloin gold 200 days” 1,900++ thb The dainty Beef is tender and juicy cooked perfectly well. The perfect combination serves along with baby carrot and peppercorn sauce
We enjoyed seeing the Chef prepare cooking in the open kitchen with charcoal over an open flame.
We had a wonderful time, as usual. The wine was perfect with our beef and the food here is simply spectacular. We fell in love with this silky and balanced red wine “Domain d'Enfants L’Enfant perdu, Southwest France 2015”
Fireplace Grill and bar is another splendid delighting diner you’ve to visit when you think of a nice and perfect place to enjoy grilled beef and seafood.

After a lovely night's sleep, we had breakfast. During the Covid-19 situation, in-house guests have to make a reservation to have breakfast. We decided to reserve at 9.00 am serve until 10.30 am
Breakfast is served at Espresso, located on M level, has many choices of quality food on the buffet line.
Noodles station, Thai food, Sushi station, Bakery and dessert station, Beverage and fresh vegetable and fruit station.
They also serve Western Breakfast that you can order a la cart.
- Boiled rice with pork
- Pad Thai Goong; noodles stir fry with tamarind sauce and prawn
- Prawn fried rice
- Egg benedict; serve with a traditional muffin, poached egg, ham with black caviar and top with hollandaise gratin sauce serve along with crispy bacon, hash brown, and roasted tomatoes
I recommended “Grill breakfast with mini steak 120 grams, with roasted potatoes, garlic, thymes and mushroom” the beef is tender and tasty.
Everything is perfect and delicious! Espresso does very well on their breakfast.
The InterContinental Bangkok is 5-Star wonderful and conveniently located, you can just take a Chidlom BTS Sky train everywhere around Bangkok. The Hotel is close to Shopping Mall and department store; Central Chidlom, Central World, Amarin Plaza, Gaysorn Plaza, and Siam Paragon
and you can pray an respect at the Erawan Shrine, Trimurti shrine, Lakshmi shrine which is located in Gaysorn Plaza, an up-market shopping mall opposite the Erawan Shrine at the Ratchaprasong junction, an area famous for shrines of Hindu gods and goddesses.
They also have 7 eleven open 24 hours located on the ground floor at Holiday Inn Bangkok Hotel next to The InterContinental Bangkok.
